Chris Ross Biography
Chris Ross has had a love of music from childhood. The son of an avid guitar player, Chris was exposed to a variety of music early on, which led to his unique sound that's a combination of modern acoustic pop, classic 70's acoustic rock, and a little bit of soulful country thrown in.
Chris began playing guitar and singing in college. Self taught, with the help of his college roommate, Chris has become a seasoned musician and built a loyal following over the years. He performs throughout New England and can be found playing summer dates in and around Kennebunkport, Maine where he and his wife enjoy their summer home.
In recent years has recently released two CDs titled "The Story of Freedom" and "I Believe" which were met with rave reviews and national attention, including a feature in Newsmax magazine under emerging Liberty themed artists. His song "Freedom" and his song "What If" were nominated for "Best Single" in WMRC's Local Music Awards in back to back years. In 2014, Chris won "Best Original Act" at the 2014 WMRC Local Music Awards and he has been named "Musician of the Month" by Liberty Bell Radio.
His debut CD, released in June 2004 and titled, "American Dream", features soulful originals and classic covers. The CD hit the Top 10 list on cdfreedom.com website for 10 consecutive weeks.
Chris performs as a solo act, duo, and sometimes with a full band. He's blessed to be joined on stage by other talented musicians and friends, including members of the Peacheaters, Pink Talking Fish, and Brothers McCann. When you catch Chris Ross performing live, you'll soon realize what New England's been buzzing about.
